Donations for Grozny

I was amazed at the outpouring of love and concern by many of our members last Thursday, January 12th.  When I had announced that the International Committee had approved $1,000 for the refugees in Grozny, many of our members came up to me and slipped bills to me; no names but thanks to all who donated.  I was handed some $440 in cash! As announced, I matched the donation up to $500. As a result we will give $1,880 to the incoming Governor of District 2220 Russia, Galina Lavrova, to take back to the Rotary Club of Grozny.  Rotary is truly amazing.  Thanks to all our members for your compassion and faith that Rotary really can make a difference!
