The book club returns to discuss “Being Heumann”, which tells the story of how the late Judith Heumann, who was paralyzed by polio at just 18 months-old, became of the most influential activists advocating for disability rights. Her work laid the foundation for a movement that would eventually culminate in the Americans with Disability Act (ADA).  The club will meet JUNE 6 at Sharon Schendel's house in Carmel Valley. Watch for an email with her address and directions.
