The Rotary Family suffered a tremendous loss when Immediate Past District Governor Chuck Pretto passed away on January 15, 2024. Chuck was in the middle of successful term when he was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia. After a bone marrow transplant, he developed graft versus host disease, from which he did not recover. You may recall that Chuck encouraged every Rotarian in District 5340 to wear their pin proudly, so we encourage you to wear your pin in memory of Chuck. Our pins can spark memories in others about how Rotary touched their lives, or conversations about all the ways that Rotarians do good in the world. Chuck certainly did good in the world, and he will be missed.
