The District Foundation Seminar was held November 22nd in the Great Hall at UCSD.    Beginning with an hour of fellowship out on the terrace while enjoying an abundant breakfast buffet, the overflow attendance represented multiple members from all Clubs in our District.  During the 3-hour Seminar, project presentations were given and awards were presented to those Clubs who had been active during the year in contributions and in Paul Harris Fellowships.   John Baranowski accepted 2 awards given our Rotary Club of Del Mar:  one banner represented our 100% participation in EREY (Every Rotarian Every Year – giving to the Rotary Foundation) ... and a banner for our being one of the Clubs contributing more that $1500 to Polio Plus this past year.    Janice Kurth told about the Japanese Vocational Training Team experience during their 2 weeks with us in April this year, and Peggy Martin gave a moving presentation on the tremendous impact our Global Grant project in Ethiopia will have on saving lives of thousands of newborns.  Attending the seminar were Haylea Minks and Miles Fleming fulfilling one their new member requirements.
