Affordable Care Act - Obamacare

Our own Rotary Club of Del Mar member Haylea Minks presented an outstanding overview of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), otherwise known as Obamacare, a United States federal statute signed into law by President Barack Obama on March 23, 2010. Together with the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act, it represents the most significant regulatory overhaul of the U.S. healthcare system since the passage of Medicare and Medicaid in 1965.

Haylea is a broker for Health Savings Associates Insurance Services, Inc.  She discussed the insurance options for individuals, small and large business along with tax implications and impact.
