Resounding Joy: The healing power of music

Resounding Joy was founded in 2005 by Dr. Barbara Reuer, who currently serves as executive director, to provide music therapy and recreational music services to over 85,000 children and adults in San Diego county.  Its staff of board-certified music therapists, together with volunteers, deliver four major programs that use music to heal and empower. 

Lindsay Zehren, Director of Special Projects, earned her bachelor’s degree in music education and theater from Saint Mary of the Woods College in Indiana. After teaching music to students in Indiana, South Africa, and Jamaica, she pursued an equivalency degree in music therapy from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.  Lindsay is also a certified yoga teacher and often couples her yoga knowledge with her musical expertise to create holistic therapies for her clients.
